The stars of “Love Is Blind” are reuniting. Season 2 of the reunion special will premiere on Netflix on Friday, March 4, during which some of the participants will meet to reflect on their experience on the show and reveal where they are with their partner now. The hosts, Nick and Vanessa Lachey will be back.
Deepti Vempati and Shake Chatterjee, Natalie Lee and Shayne Jansen, Danielle Ruhl and Nick Thompson, Iyanna McNeely and Jarrette Jones, Shaina Hurley, Kyle Abrams, and Mallory Zapata and Sal Perez were among the six couples whose engagements were tracked in Season 2.
Only five of the couples were able to make it to the altar. Hurley, who met Jansen in the pods, ended their relationship with Abrams shortly after they met in person.
Two more couples were engaged in the pods — Jason Beaumont and Kara Williams and Joey Miller and Caitlin McKee — but due to time and resource constraints, cameras didn’t follow their adventures. Both of the couples have since broken up.
“To be honest, it’s a lot of guessing. When it came to deciding which duos to follow, creator Chris Coelen told Variety, “We don’t know what’s going to happen.” “We were watching Kenny Barnes and Kelly Chase in Season 1 and thinking to ourselves, ‘This is going to be so dull.’ They’re going to say yes, and then they’re going to marry. They didn’t, in fact. We had no idea what would happen in the stories we chose, and we still have no idea. If we’re lucky enough to have more engagements than we can follow, as we were in Seasons 1 and 2, we’ll go with our instinct. These appear to be a good, genuine cross-section of true stories.”
The nuptials took place during the finale show and are guaranteed to surprise audiences.
“For me, being there in person on the wedding day is like being at the Super Bowl.” It’s insane. You have no idea what’s going to happen or how things will turn out. “It’s quite thrilling,” Coelen says. “Sometimes you think you’re certain, and then it doesn’t turn out the way you expected.”
