The long-running anthology horror series’ impending Season 11 will debut this autumn, according to FX chairman John Landgraf, who made the announcement during the network’s TCA executive session last week. The network released this as the first accurate piece of information regarding the new episode, the first of three picked up in 2020.
That is as a result of the suspenseful atmosphere that AHS creator Ryan Murphy tries to create with each season by revealing strategically timed hints.
Several well-known actors are reportedly returning for Season 11, including AHS alumni Patti LuPone, Billie Lourd, Isaac Powell, and Zachary Quinto (who appeared on the show from 2011 to 2013). (2013). Sandra Bernhard, who starred in the FX series Pose, which was also produced by Murphy, Joe Mantello, a Murphy regular, and Charlie Carver, who starred in the Netflix series Hollywood and the HBO film The Normal Heart, are all included in the cast of the new episode. FX and 20th Television, the studio that produced AHS, declined to comment.
Photographers captured Powell, Lourd, Carver, and Bernhard this week as the new season shot scenes on the streets of Manhattan’s West Village.
The new film’s plot is also a mystery, although judging on the outfits and exteriors, it seems to be set in the 1970s or 1980s. Studio 54: American Crime Story, which also takes place in Manhattan during that time period, was just confirmed by FX as being in development.
Sarah Paulson, the American Horror Story MVP and star of the majority of seasons to date, has hinted in recent interviews that she might be through with the horror franchise, at least for the time being.
