On the birthday of her ex-husband Liam Hemsworth, Miley Cyrus released her new single, “Flowers.”

Miley Cyrus sends a barely disguised message to her ex-husband Liam Hemsworth in her new song “Flowers.” It’s not the kind of message where the emphasis is on discrediting the ex but on loving oneself. On January 13, she dropped a new track, and more are expected in March 2023. Although they have moved on since the singer’s divorce from Liam Hemsworth, the two have a ten-year history of on-again, off-again relationships. What do the words to this song indicate since Cyrus wrote it in response to her romance with Hemsworth?

On the set of The Last Song, Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus first crossed paths, and their romance developed rapidly. The two did, however, break up and then get back together again within the first year of their relationship. After they became engaged in 2012, they again split up, and this trend continued. They got back together in 2016, two years before they eventually got married, because when two individuals enter into this kind of cycle with one another, it creates reliance.
What does Miley Cyrus’ song “Flowers” mean?

The song “Flowers” is about realising a bad circumstance, but deciding to let it go and concentrate on treating yourself well. They are the only subjects discussed, and Miley says they thought their relationship was perfect until realising they weren’t the right fit. She claims that first she didn’t want to lie or leave, but as she started crying, she discovered her inner power and understood she can be free of the distressing feelings the relationship is bringing her.

The passage of time will reveal if this song reflects her letting go or whether the two remain inseparable. In an attempt to get Liam Hemsworth’s attention, she did release it on his birthday. It’s like telling the person you’ve purportedly moved on from, “See, I’ve moved on.” Despite their tumultuous ten-year relationship, she undoubtedly still has some negative emotions that she is attempting to resolve. The chorus of the sampled song, “I should’ve bought you flowers,” from Bruno Mars’ “When I was Your Man,” is supposedly answered with the line, “I can buy myself flowers.”

Time will tell if Miley and Liam are truly over, or if this is just another breakup before they reconcile. She will be OK on her own if she truly believes what she says in “Flowers.” She even claims to have forgotten every word he ever uttered in the song’s lyrics. While it is nice to forgive, it is obvious that she hasn’t forgotten because the hook, “I can love me better,” has a little snide tone.
