The Crown Season 5 Netflix Finally Clarifies, “It Is A Fictional Dramatisation, Imagining What Could Have…”

Netflix finally explains that “The Crown” is a fictional dramatisation that imagines what might have happened in season 5.

A logline was added to the Season 5 YouTube video by streaming giant Netflix to make it clear to viewers that “The Crown” is a fictional dramatisation. Season 5 is scheduled to premiere on November 9.

This fictitious dramatisation depicts the narrative of Queen Elizabeth II and the political and personal events that defined her reign, according to the trailer’s logline, which was released by the official Netflix account.

According to a Netflix spokeswoman, “The Crown” has always been marketed as a historical drama. A fictitious dramatisation in series five imagines what may have transpired behind closed doors during a crucial decade for the Royal Family, one that has previously been closely examined and extensively documented by journalists, biographers, and historians.

The logline was included after significant debate in the UK over whether or not viewers would see the events in “The Crown” as exact replicas of actual events. Given that King Charles has recently ascended to the throne, sources within Buckingham Palace are reportedly particularly concerned about how the show portrays his relationship with Camilla Parker-Bowles while he was married to Diana, Princess of Wales.

Charles married Camilla after Diana passed away, which will be represented in the sixth and final season of the show. She assumed the title of Queen Consort last month when he succeeded to the throne after the passing of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II.

Judi Dench complained earlier this week that “The Crown” ought to have a disclaimer at the start of each episode because it treats the Royal Family in a “cruelly unjust” manner.
