If you love Vikings, you’re probably excited to learn that the show has been renewed for a third season. Season 3 should come to Netflix in the next couple years. Although Netflix has yet to officially announce the release date of the third season, it is likely to be released in the late 2023 or early 2024.
The third season of Vikings will likely focus on the lives of two main characters. Leif and Harald. Their story will take them through a conflict between Christianity and pagan beliefs. Several historical figures are also expected to appear.
Aside from the two main characters, there are several other new characters that will be seen. Goran Visnjic is slated to play Erik the Red, Leif’s father. His storyline will be set in Greenland. It is unclear whether or not Visnjic will also be a character in the other two seasons.
Other historical figures expected to make an appearance include King Canute and his wife Aelfgifu. The show will also introduce the character of William I. Stuart said he would love to create a second trilogy.
The production of the third season of Vikings is expected to start in May of 2022. The Irish Examiner reported that the production was looking for extras.

If you’ve already watched the new Netflix show Vikings, then you’ve probably noticed that a lot of the cast is returning. But there are also some brand-new characters that will appear in season two. During the course of the second season, we will see four newcomers.
One of them is Elena, the daughter of a Kyivan Rus nobleman. She’s a fierce fighter, but she also seems to be very independent. Despite her stance on the Christian faith, she reveals herself to be a strong thinker. Whether she’ll choose to remain in Kattegat or return to Greenland is up in the air.
Another character that will be introduced in season two is Freydis, one of the most feared warriors in Norway. However, she wasn’t celebrated as the “last” warrior.
Throughout the course of the season, Leif (Sam Corlett) will be forced to make some difficult choices. He will have to decide between his pagan beliefs and his family. Ultimately, he’ll have to help his family to exact revenge on Saxons.
Season three is still in production, but we don’t have a set release date. We expect it to come out sometime in January or February of 2024. This will likely include the core trio of season two, along with Queen Emma and possibly some other notable characters.

Vikings: Valhalla is a streaming television series that follows legendary adventures of the famous Vikings. The first season of the series premiered in February of 2022. It follows the battle for survival in an evolving world.
Following a very successful debut, Vikings: Valhalla was renewed for two more seasons. Netflix ordered 24 episodes for the new series. A third season is expected to be released later in 2023 or early in 2024.
This season will focus on the adventures of Leif and Harald. During this second season, we’ll also meet a few other characters. One of these characters is the father of Leif and Freydis. In the season, we’ll learn about their lives and about the fate of their families.
Another character we’ll see in the season is the Queen of Norway. She’s based on the real life regent of Norway from 1030 to 1035. Pollyanna McIntosh will play her.
Other characters we’ll meet in the second season are Mariam (Hayat Kamilla), King Canute (Bradley Freegard), Earl Godwin (David Oakes) and Jarl Olaf Haraldsson (Johannes Haukur Johannesson). They are accompanied by a group of soldiers, including Soren Pilmark.
According to Jeb Stuart, creator of the show, there will be at least six seasons in total. He said it will be “almost like a novel”.
The next season will likely be released in late 2023 or early 2024. As a result, there hasn’t been a trailer yet for this season.
